Depends on if ya are at Carlsbad or LACR been to both a bunch and Carlsbad ya fight the heat and LACR is 2300ft so take your pick.Kinda rhymes.
Have they opened any new places since I left in '95?

Depending on your weight and bite maybe a 11-teen-11.50. If ya hook to the tune of a low 1.4 60' it might be a tad better.

I dont even know if carlsbad is still running. There is an 1/8th mile track in irwindale, and the 1/4 mile in fontana has street legals sometimes but its hot out there, probably just as hot as carlsbad. The tracks are usually SLAMMED with imports and you dont get many runs in. It kinda sucks to go racing here these days, thats why im looking into moving to texas pretty soon.

This happens occassionally, dyno issues, not the actual cars issue. I have had it happen on perfectly running cars before.

He's nowhere near either of those tracks. Carlsbad is history...under about 1.4mil CY of earth with 90k SF concrete tilt-up buildings on it, and LACR is probably a 6-7 hour drive for him.

We have Fontana (1/4), Irwindale (1/8), LACR (1/4), Barona (1/8) and soon Drag City (1/4). All seem to be plagued with some issue (elevation, poor track prep, are only 1/8 mile, etc.), and some have strong points, but never are they complimentary and result in one great track.

Go figure.

Well Carlsbad or LACR weren't bad when I was out there, except the big pile of trees at the end of the shutdown area at Carlsbad. We ran um a 6.80 and was doing a Steve Kinser impression trying to shut down before the trees with the laundry out. Learned to throw out the laundry real early. They had a place on Terminal Island but I never went there.
Have been to a track in Sacramento but that's a long drive from 'Frisco. Don't remember the name.
I thought Deenasty was from San Diego-- WRONG.
