Le1+75shot, what would be my estimated e.t. be?
Le1+75shot, what would be my estimated e.t. be?
Well I may get the le1 instead of the le2 now, but i was kinda of curious on what estimated times and mph i could run with that setup, my best n/a time was a 13.60@101mph, so if anyone has any opinions on this just chime in and let me know,, thanks guys

If you can get the setup dialed in like some of these other guys with LE1 (i think most that are making big numbers are using the LE1 heads and an LE2 cam) i would imagine somewhere in the low 11's with traction.

I think thats a bit optemistic. An LE1 setup should put you around 360-370 rwhp. A 75 will be around 430 rwhp. With those numbers and good suspension you could run somewhere around 11.7's provided you can drive. It is possible to get lower than that, but traction and suspension are huge.

Jeremy95TA, your math might be off a hair. I thought most nitrous kits were rated at the rear wheels. Anyways, with a 75 shot an 11.50 or lower would not be a problem with my car. The heads would probably be considered 1.5's, but the cam is a hair smaller than a LE1.

Z-Rated, you are correct that there is enough HP for mid 11's on 440rwhp, but it takes more than HP to get you down the track. You have to be able to put the power to the road.
mickeyiz28, What kind of suspension do you plan on running? There are guys in my local car club with less than 400rwhp running in the mid to low 11's, but they have ton of suspension work.

I don't agree with this - 75 shot an 11.50 or lower would not be a problem?
Have you done it? If you haven't then you should wait to say it's "no problem" until you do it.

im probably gonna just go with some lca's and some subframe connectors, so you guys are saying around 11.5-12.0 estimated, but what do u think i will be able to trap?

Re: Le1+75shot, what would be my estimated e.t. be?
it is basically impossible to "geusstimate" an ET this way. Vehicle weight and 60 ft are gonna be the main factors in ET.
A 3200 lb car with a 1.50 60 ft and STOCK heads and cam can run a 11.90. A 3700 lb car with a 2.10 60 ft might run 13.60. Same heads and same cam, just vehicle weight and 60 ft being the difference.
If you have an average weight (3600 lb) car and have an A4 with a Yank/Vigilante 3000 stall and can get a 1.65 60 ft, you should be able to run a 11.7-11.8 at 115-116 MPH if you have all of the right parts (CAI, 58 MM TB, 1 3/4 headers, no cats, good exhaust and good tuning). On THIS example, the LE1 heads/cam and 75 shot would get you an 11.20 or so.
Once you start adding weight, getting slower 60 ft times, running stock TB, 1 5/8 headers, more restrictive exhaust, lesser quality tune, etc, the ET's will be slower.

Gotcha - not that I don't think that you can do it - it's just that there are so many factors in the equation. I hate thinking "I can do this" then when I get to the track, it's poorly prepped or I have a bad day of racing and don't hit the numbers that I - and everyone else says - that I *should* hit. It's a big let down even tho on another day you may hit what you want.
Good luck hitting the number when you try - hope you get it!
With the right set up anything can happen. But 60' times can make or break ya at the track. My car is heavy and was all bolt ons last year with a great suspension set up and ran low 1.7 to mid 1.7s all year. The right stall and your good to go!! Good luck
