LE1 306 cam and suitable nitrous gaskets, may have to use a thicker gasket?

I am having Lloyd Elliot port my heads (LE1) but I am going to use a 306 cam. I wish to put 150 shot of nitrous on top of this but I am not sure of a suitable nitrous gasket to use. If you could keep in mind I may have to use a thicker gasket to keep my compression ratio around 11:1 since I am having both the heads and block milled for a smooth surface and I want to keep using pump gas when I am not using the nitrous. Also is there a recommended limit on how thick you should go in order to keep from getting hot spots on your gaskets? I think this is what happens if you go real thick on your gaskets, right?

how do you have an 11:1 compression?

I am rebuilding my engine and with my ross nitrous flat pistons I will have about 10:5 but I am not sure. And after porting the heads and milling both the heads and block it may be even higher so I may have to use a thicker gasket to get it down to 11:1 if needs be.

You can run higher than 11 to 1 comp ratio on pump gas...i would maybe add some octane booster or something when you use the n2o though. I would just stick with a stock head gasket unless you can get one that is better for n2o, im not sure if you can though.

Yeah I will be running a dedicated fuel system so I can run the higher octane for the nitrous use only.

You can stick with a felpro head gasket with that shot, hell even an impala gasket will work if you want the extra CR since its thiner. I went with a Cometic MLS head gasket since I will prob be running more then that through my motor...though you must make sure with the Cometic gaskets that your deck area and head area are completly 100% flat, espeiclly around the bolt hole areas.

Flat is a given. The issue with the Cometic is the surface finish.

I just called Fel-pro the other day. They said they make their head gasket thicker then stock. He didn't say how much, but said because you should mill the heads after removal, they make them thicker to get as close to stock compression as possible. The only way to tell is to mic a stock GM head gasket and a Fel pro to know how much difference there is. This is coming from fel-pro tech support.
