Lazy start after 50# msd injector install

What could this be... my car has been very lazy to start if you let it cool down a bit and in the morning after i installed the msd 50# injectors.. could it be the offsets?? I have raised them quite a bit..

Could be too much fuel and flooding the engine on start up. If your constant is too bad it will show a rich condition(obviously ) and be lazy on start up. I had the sam e problem with my 36lb SVO's I bumped up the constant a little and the start ups got better..

Hard cold starts are usually due to not enough fuel... You were right that bumping the inj. constant up will fix the hard starts, but it actually adds fuel when you do this - not lean it out. I am pretty sure he is too lean, and needs to adjust the injector constant up.

BLM are perfect... so dont know... this are ball and disc type injectors too.. they are not as snappy as svo's...

Fuel pressure is 58psi

Are you sure? Im pretty sure that when you adjust the injector constant up you lean out your motor. Not richen it....

Also too much fuel is just as much of a problem as not enough...

I'm sure... way too much fuel can be a problem (flooding), but since the engine doesn't mind running rich (to a degree) during cold starts, it's usually a problem with not enough fuel rather than too much.

What kind of FPR do you have? I had same problem with AM AFPR! Too much fuel is no problem really, unless its dumping. Which would lead to sprak plug replacements/o2s all the time. Might be a dumb question but did you have program for 50s?

One other worth checking is Dew module.

If your BLM's are fine when it's running, you might try increasing the injector offsets by 5% at anything under 11.5 volts (maybe even as much as 10% if it has really hard cold starts). When your starter is cranking, the voltage to the PCM is usually a few volts lower than normal, so those are the offset tables you want to modify (assuming your BLM's are good after it starts up).

What was the original offset table you started from? Hopefully you didn't start from SVO or even worse, Lucas injectors!

I did that... I checked the voltage at crank and added some more.. but still it takes quite a few cranks to start... and before it started with just a single stroke...

I have made my own constants and my own tunning... it pretty close almost everywhere i have 128...
