Last minute check before spending $1300 - Please help

I have about 200 more dollars to save up and then I'm going to be buying a new set of FLP Long Tubes headers from Thunderracing.com for about $2000 Canadian. So before I go and just blow that money.. I want to do a checklist so I have no surprizes/unexpected costs etc...

1) Do they pass emissions???? All I'm worried about is the sniffer... don't worry about the visual. But I want a perfectly clear answer.. do they pass or not? Do they come with AIR and EGR hook up?

2) Are they the best? I don't care about best bang for the buck deal on mid length or shorties... but if a lot of people think some other set of full length headers are much better, will pass emissions all ceramic coated and do everything that FLP will do then let me know.

3) Do they (the package from thunderracing.com for an LT1 Camaro) come with everything to hook them up fully? If no gasket then thats fine but all the other hardware?

4) Just to make sure... my car is a stock 96 Camaro SS... it will hook up no problems right? Just making sure..

Thats about all my worries as for now.. thanks guys

FLP makes a nice header setup but I didn't like the 2-1/2" ypipe and cat setup. For LongTube Headers I'd still say you can't beat JetHot which come setup with full emmissions both Air/injector, EGR and 02 sensor bungs, jethotted inside/out for about $520 to your door. A custom ypipe with dual 3" hi-flo cats would be way cheaper than their setup. I do like how FLP comes with an offroad pipe for the cats but still it's too expensive for no more than what you get. Fitup was great, longtubes are a lot of work with any brand. Someone has been having a problem on their driver side fitup, not sure if his car had been previously wrecked and not brought back to spec or if Jethot made a bad header but we should know soon enough. Jethot is sending him a replacement for that side. Great customer service from what I've heard thus far.

Again look at Jethot before you jump off and spend 1200 bucks American dollars (last price I found on FLP).

good luck

i'm the one w/ the problem. they are overnighting me a drivers side. the thing that seems to be the problem is the tube that is only half way on, until u put in that connecter. it looks like it needs to be bent inward just a little. thats what is hitting my frame, but when i put in that connecter tube, and lay the header on the ground, ( as if to lay up against the head ), all the holes are flat and flush up against the ground, so it seems as if the pipe was bent it just a little, it would go up to the car easier, but it wouldn't bolt up to the head right. i don't know. all i know is, if this new header won't work, i'm going with hooker longtubes
