Last ditch effort....cd player power advice please!!!

To start off, I have tried posting to car audio section, but this is not a custom question I guess, no replies. I have been having trouble with my factory (94) bose headunit flashing off and on. Thought it might be the cd player calling it quits, so I tried my aftermarket one, though I knew it wouldn't sound right. That one flashed off and on too. The problem is the constant and ignition power wires seems to have constistent 12.5V power when they are supposed to. And the ground is fine. Any ideas????? Do I need to check the current somehow? TIA

What do you mean flashing on and off? Losing power? Check to be sure the harness/conections are solid. Make sure both 12vC and 12vS both have 12.6 car off and about 14v+ when running..

Could be a problem with the wire itself, If it keeps up, run a new power line to the radio and splice it to the power wire going into the harness. See if this solves the probelm.

Check the power at the harness back where the wire enters it, GM harness pins like to wiggle out or loosen.
