I had them, and IMHO, they were junk.

I now have Qa1's, but will soon be switching back to Bilstiens. (so far my favorite)

Re: KYB AGX Shocks?

I have them on my car and I would not call them junk, not the best for drag racing I have found out but they would be a good street/handling shock. They would not be good for autocross and they pretty much suck for drag racing but in my opinion they would make a great street shock.
Got about 15k on mine now and they still work great.
And just try to find an 8 way adjustable shock for under 400 bucks for all 4.
I will be switching to Hals or Konis in the future but just because I need a better drag racing shock.

I have the 8 way kyb adjustables and love them. They do make a great street shock. I also autocross and a little drag. They work well for autocross and they are only a little better for drag racing over stock. in my opinon.

Re: KYB AGX Shocks?

They are decent on the back for drag racing. But on the front, they are a total waste of money when it comes to drag racing. They are only 5% softer than the stock shocks - take in mind that that figure is compared to a new stock shock. Chances are that an older worn stock shock is actually shofter than the AGX's.

I wasnt aware of this at the time and bought a set of the AGX's to put on the front, a few years back. Since then, I've switched to the Hal Qa1 - night and day difference. Save up for the Hals. They are well worth the extra money!!!

Well, first of all, what do you plan on doing with this car? Street use, street/drag, street/auto-X etc....???

Exactly....the use of the car needs to be determined first. I had them, and for drag racing, there are better choices. They are a decent compromise for a few uses, but not great at any one in particular.

I have the AGX adjustables. I share the opinions on everything said so far. They're decent. Not that great for drag racing, as far as being able to set it on its softest setting. Overall, good street shocks. I haven't tried them on auto-x though, so I can't really say anything about that.

How are they on the rear?? On the rear shocks, u want them on the hardest setting, right? For weight transfer, etc?
