knock module

can you put a lt4 knock module into a stock car?

Yes, it takes about 5 minutes. It won't do anything for you until you add headers, etc.

As best I can tell, it's the tone and frequency of your exhaust. After a header install, it's so loud it sets off the knock module. The LT4 module has a narrower bandwidth, which doesn't include the frequency your exhaust emits.
Something like that.

Headers don't cause much knock from what I understand, but due to the fact they make the car louder then can cause some knock. Mainly people do it after new RRs....I think those are what cause a lot of false knock.

Next question then, how do RR's cause false knock?

The 1.6 RRs on the LT4 which are the GMPP (Crane) make for a noisier valve train. The LT4 KM and LT4 valve covers (cuts down on valve train noise) are supposed to take care of that. I have LTs and dont plan on wasting money on a KM. I think the headers and needing the LT4 KM is an old wive's tale like people think that all there is to heads is "killer flow" when theres much more to it than that.
