knock knock
Well I've been having some kind of knock from my engine at idle (and possible at higher rpms but I can't hear it cause the exhaust is too loud). Anyway it doesn't have a regular pattern but it's constant. It's very hard to tell where it's coming from. I went under the car and put my hand on the oil pan and it was there, put my hand on the trans pan and it was there, put my hand on the intake and same thing yada yada yada. It's pretty loud and does it when the car is warm, cold, and pretty much anytime in between. I have 45psi of oil pressure at idle which is pretty high lol, never overheats, oil is clear. I don't have the torque converter cover on and I checked for interferance and didn't see any (I'm running a tranny adapter plate). What are some symptons of a spun bearing? Any other ideas? It sounds horrible and it really bothers me since this is a rebuilt engine and I was the first person to fire it up so. ANY help will be appreciated. Thanks1

Re: knock knock
So if it's a spun bearing does it have a regular pattern of knocks or can it be irregular like mine? I can only hear it with the hood up or if I crawl under the car. I can't hear it when I'm in the car or if the hood is closed. I'm getting worried cause I don't feel like ripping out this engine cause I just got it in!
