Knock

I'm not sure is this is worthy of advance tech. But since no other relevent forms can answer. I gues that would make this advanced tech.

I just put a hot cam, aluminum rockers and pushrods in my engine, along with a LTCC conversion, and it sounds great!
Problem is I'm getting 3 to 4 degrees of knock retard most of the time I'm accelerating. and just about any time I go over 1/2 throttle, I get about 1000 knock counts. And yes I have a lt4 knock module.

I geuess my questions are.

1. what is a lot of knock?

2. should I expect more knock immediately after replacing engine components?

Re: Knock

One thing to determine is if it is real or false knock. I would add some high octane (100 OR HIGHER) gas and see if it persists, have you had it tuned yet for the hott cam?

Re: Knock
