kmotion t-800 dual coil springs? any good.

Just curious if these springs are any good. I am running the cc306 cam with p&p heads. crane gold 1.6 rr's. and stock lifters. oh yeah comp hardened pushrods. Im only spinning the motor to 6300 rpm's. to save on the 150,000 mile bottom end. until I can afford a forged setup. anyway are these springs a good choice for the cc306 cam. and carry enough lift for the cam. and will they hold up to 6500 rpm's. when I finally build my forged bottom end. thanks...

Are you sure they are not the K-800? If it is the K-800 I have used them a few times, very tight springs, but decent for the price, I have never had a spring failure with them.

They are recomended to be installed at 1.85 , but with a .05 additional spring height , it reduces the pressure on and off the seat nicely.

The k-800 is a great spring and lots of people use them. Unless you can install them tall though they end up with too much pressure for my taste especially without good seats and stock lifters.

Setup right almost any spring can handle the cc306. I ran some really cheap CMS .600 lift springs on mine with a tiny shim for a bit more pressure.

Also any spring you pick be sure to check if you will have to have the heads worked for them to fit. Most duals need it, but a few will fit.

I am running the crane single spring on my setup.

If there is a t-800 I have no idea what it is.

i had a friend that had those with a 306 with 1.6's and he broke 2 of them. called customer support and they told him they are not for daily driven cars and are mainly race applications. this is because they are not designed for prolonged use. i would stay away from them.

sorry I ment k-800, I have been running them for almost a yr. now seems to be no problems. I am running them with the crane gold 1.6 nsa rr's. they do seem like a tight spring...thanks for the replies. oh yeah I was running the comp lifters, but had four of them fail/come apart. they were the junk ones that are on here. anyway I am running stock lifters again. but Im going to put in a set of cranes over the winter.

I've heard of them breaking and then Cam Motion won't warranty them if it's not a full-time race car. They are also very very "tight" as stated and can kill the stock lifters quickly if not setup correctly. Just go with the 918's.
