Keep svo 30's or move up?

My old setup(the one in the sig) did 389rwhp/380rwtq with svo 30's at stock fuel pressure. The new setup will be a 383 with the le2 package. Come spring I'm hoping for 430rwhp with all the supporting mods and great tuning. Can I get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and make the 30's work or should I step up to 36's or 42's? I also plan on running a 150-200 shot(wet) of juice come spring.

You will be fine with the 30s especially since the wet shot will take care of itself.

If you really must, go with 36s.

Ion is right, the 30's should be fine, I went with the FMS drk blu top 36rs because I got a great deal on them but the 30's should be fine.

Ion, You did my ECM about two years ago for a LT1 swap into my 1984 corvette and it worked awsome , thanks for all the help.

We were seeing 97% peak duty cycle at stock fuel pressure on my car with the 30# SVOs. However, it was only in the 90s for a very short period of time. I would say they are definitely adequate.

If you have a choice, why on earth would you run dry nitrous if you could run wet?

Thats not good. I'll have to up the fuel pressure then. I don't want to run above 80% cycle duty.

I suppose I should have mentioned that happened at 10.5:1 AFR, and its not that bad now.

Actually, the injector duty cycle should go up as you have more horsepower. So if you went from 10.5 up, gaining some power, your duty cycle should be higher, but considering the DC shown by Datamaster is a CALCULATED one, I wouldn't worry much about those numbers. My car has seen 120% DC but the injectors provide enough fuel.

You really have me beat on that one. How does DC go up when fuel goes down? If the only change is taking fuel out, isn't the power coming from a more efficient burn, and not more gas?

Re: Keep svo 30's or move up?

I'm talking about Datamaster DC, not real life DC. I think it may be using the AFGS data for the DC, maybe something else, but DDC (in my experience at least) always increased with more power on the same car even though the mixture was leaner. The reason I suspect it may be tied to the AFGS value is because the AFGS also goes up with more power.

So what is your take on the AFGS*1.1 = RWHP equation? If that is near true, we have a lot to go on my car.

I've noticed the same thing even on the speeddensity cars.
