k&n replacement or CAI?

I have the k&n replacement filter, I just bought the k&n cai. Someone told me there is no difference in the two. Is this true? Will I get a better gain out of the cold air kit? THANKS

There is definately a difference. You will get a much better gain from the CAI.

Slightly, but mainly at higher rpms, because its suckin in more air under wot. Definately one of the first mods that should be done though.

When you buy the CAI you'll see your freind was full of it. The CAI basicly replaces everything from the clamp on the in side of the maf to even the airfilter and box.

I believe +16rwhp is the general consensus with the CAI. I'd be suprised to see more than 2-3rwhp from a replacement filter. The intake is just to small for a filter to help much, IMO. I noticed a bit crisper throttle response and it feels like there is more power, but it could all be in my head
