K&N FIPK filter probs

has anyone had prolems with their LT1 K&N FIPKs. My filter will never stay onto the boot for more than a day, even with clamps and duct tape, lol. Anny suggestions?

Not that bad, it doesnt go on there very far which sucks, but it stays on fine when its clamped down nice and tight. Clean the surfaces off really good, make sure its on there at least a half inch and crank that pipe clamp on there 5 turns past tight.

They suck. There's really no tip I could recommend aside from just shoving it on. Once you get it shoved on firmly it will never come off but it takes finesse and force to get it on there.

The only thing I could think is that the contact surface is dirty, or you just haven't gotten it on there ALL the way, correctly and straight. I remember so many times it would seem like it was on there correctly, and then you see that it actually wasn't. I would recommend you just take your time, and tighten the **** on there GOOD.

Yeah mine fell off one day and i drove around for a day or two until I noticed so now I check every day. To get mine on tight enough I had someone push down on the tube while I pushed the filter on from underneath so I could get as much of the lip on the filter around the tube. Hasnt fallen off since.
