Hi everyone, just wondering if that oil that you apply to the air intake filter is bad for the maf, i have a K&N cai, and was wondering if anyone is having problems from the oil, and is there and alternative, cause i really dont want to cook the maf lol, Thanks Anthony

 

Some people have reported damagin the MAF with the oil, but I know TONS more people who have ran kn filters (myself included) perfectly fine w/o effecting the MAF in ANY way. My guess is that the people who damaged their sensor don't read directions very well and go a little heavy on the oil.. You'll be fine.

you can save yourself some money on the filter oil... go to your local motorcycle shop and buy an aerosol can of bel-ray filter oil.. i give like $5 for a can 10 yrs ago and still haven't used it all.
