I actually found a blown "ignition" fuse today under my hood after I put the new Opti in and it didnt work. I thought hey a little fuse made me buy a $300 opti but I changed it and still no spark...What would have made it blow? This all started by having hard starts, then would start and run rough and die, then would not start at all. Dead, no spark. Im checking spark at the plug from the plug wire. How do I know if the coil or opti that I have already changed out are even good. I hate eletrical problems! Pcm? Ignition control module? Dont know what to check or where to start. But I dont like guessing and wasting money. Im on disability and make VERY little money..

Could be a problem with the ign module. Anyone live near you with a known
good LT1 powered car that you can borrow parts from to test? I dont think
that the VATS causes no spark, I think it causes no crank. Rarely will an opti
cause a no spark condition, it usually causes an irratic spark condition.

It's not Vat's.
Vat's will let the car start, run for a few sec then shut off.

icm would be the first to check, same problem i had, also make sure its got that di-electric grease, also check the grounding also. i replaced that and a new coil and it fired right up! good luck.
