Just picked up a wrecked 95 Z

It has 58k on it and a 6 speed. I plan on swapping it into my 94 z with an auto. My question is(isint their allways one? :P)the car turns over and will start up, but will immideatly stall out, unless im giving it some gas. The previous owner before the guy i bought it from looks like he has done a bit of ghetto`ness to the motor. Ex - He disconnected the vaccume lines that come from the throttle body and go into that little sensor that bolts up on the passanger side of the intake manifold. He has done a moroso cai from all i know, other then that it is stock. Also, their is a connector that it not hooked up that is by the pcm. It is a small 3 pronged connector with - red black stripe, black, and grey wires. What does this go to? I plan on printing out some wireing diagrams off Mitchell on Demand, but if you guys have a good site with wireing diagrams i wont waste my time. Thanks in advance and any help or advise is greatly appreciated!

The best site BY FAR!!!! is http://shbox.com/page/index.html . In my opinion you will not find a better website for info. (other than cz28 of course ) Both these sites go hand in hand if you ask me.

I wish I could come across something like that. Good luck with the swap!

Re: Just picked up a wrecked 95 Z

Thanks guys. As for the car not idleing/running without giving it gas, i think its the fuel pump. The car was put into a ditch and has alot of rear end damage. So the car runs fine but you haveto keep reving it to keep from stalling. Im going to do a fuel volume test(dont have a fuel pressure tester)but if that isint it are their any other explinations?

Re: Just picked up a wrecked 95 Z

When I disconnected my MAF sensor, I had to keep the car running with my right foot, and it was shaking the car at idle (when it idled alone), that could possibly be a cause...

Re: Just picked up a wrecked 95 Z

Ill try putting the MAF sensor, and the IAC from my car onto the wrecked one and see if that works. The thing is i want to get the car running good before i pull the motor. Im going to be doing a cam and timeing chain while its out so if it dosint run when i put it in my car then i know its something i fked up. What would cause the car to turn over fine, but only run when giving it gas? No idleing at all. Help please!

Re: Just picked up a wrecked 95 Z

Since you mention rear end damage...maybe one of the fuel lines are being pinched off a bit?
