Is it just me (zip ties and tranny cooler)
I have finally got around to installing my tranny cooler. I'm 19 and I have had assistance on installing all of my other mods but decided I would try this one myself. (I mostly watched as others did the work) Everything was going smoothly until I got to the sticking the zip ties through the cooler and radiator. I can not get the damn things through the radiator for crap. I get them through the cooler fine, and what feels like a first layer of radiator and then they will go no more. I even tried using a coat hanger to see if I can get it through. Is it just me or should these bastages be this tough?
It is much easier to put it in if you take the fans off. You will need to trim the ends of the ties so they dont interfere with the fans once they are in. Try twisting on them some while pushing them in.
I installed my zip times from the radiator side, or from the other side you are putting them on. I didnt have to remove the fans. I just "aimed" them where they I thought they should be. I only used three ties and it has held fine.
If the tie isnt going in easy that is becuase it is probably hitting the little cooling lines in the radiator. Just go up or down a little to snake through them.

Yea , its just hitting the actual lines of the radiator ... get ridda the hanger before you mess it up , if you crack the line youll hafta pull the rad , get it brazed , or get a new one ... not FUN ... I no exactly what your talkin bout tho cause i jsut did a oil cooler on mine ... Take the ties that are givin u trouble out ... slide em up about a 8th of a inch and try again ... eventually youll get past the lil line and go rite between them , then unblot the fans from the plastic retainer thingy their mounted in , and cut the excess off the ties ... O and you DO hafta push pretty hard once the ties are through the AC and starting into the Rad , itll go tho ... good luck
