Just installed Pace Setter long tubes and duals.....

I would fully recommend these headers to anyone. I did alot of research on this board and read many many posts about these headers. I even checked out all the pics that good ol Brent posted for us to see the side by side comparison with these headers and the Hooker long tubes. I just got my P.S. long tubes put on today and my x-pipe w/ 2.5'' true duals into Dynomax Bullets. All I can say is DAYYUUUUM! For you all that dont know me. My previous setup was BBK shorty headers, y pipe, and 3'' Flowmaster American Thunder catback system. I really didnt think long tubes and duals would make that much difference over my already upgraded exhaust system but boy was I wrong. Ive read over and over again about long tubes making most hp up top, but I gained alot down low as well. Maybe thats due to the 2.5'' duals. We have some pics that we took and I should be able to post them tomorrow. The muffler shop did a really good job and the price wasnt bad either. One thing I noticed was about an hour after I had the headers put on the black paint had started to come off already. I didnt get the coated ones but I still think they'll last a long time. Sorry to make this post so long but I just wanted to say how happy I am with these headers and my new exhaust setup. Again, I will post the pics hopefully tomorrow!

I will post the pics as soon as I get them. I may need someone to host them for me but I will let you all know when I have them.

I ordered the long tubes from www.redlineperformanceengineering.com

The x-pipe I got from ebay but its a store that sales on there. Here is the pic and price...

The bullets you could get from Summit or Jegs. I got the 2.5'' in/out with 16.5''s long with 12'' casing.

Adam, if you want message me on aim. My screen name is LT1PnyKlr and I can show you a blueprint I made on my computer so you can see exactly how it is until I get the actual pics up!

Hope this helps.....

How difficult were the Pacesetters to install? I know some people have said they aren't too bad, at least in comparison to other brands.

Also, how exactly does the X pipe hook up to everything?

Congrats on your new exhaust, glad your happy with it.

Im at work right now. When I get home I will email you some pics of my setup. I can probably get a buddy to host them for me if not I will just send them via email.

Everything hooked up perfectly. Did you check the link above with the x pipe I bought?

How did you connect the exhaust to the headers? Pacesetters have a slip fit primary if I'm not mistaken. We need pics now mister! I'm getting ready to do the exact same thing, except have cutouts between the headers and x-pipe.

I used 3'' heavy duty clamps to hold the headers and exhaust together. Everything else is welded.

My buddy that took the pics on his digital camera is at the Spring Nationals in Commerce GA watching the top fuel dragsters run. He will be home in a few hours and is gonna send me the pics.

Did pacesetter up their quality within the past few years? People used to completely hate their exhausts and headers. Maybe it was just the 4cyl guys who had problems

Pacesetters don't have a slip-fit primary.....but even if they did, what would that have to do with connecting the exhaust?

Go

what all was involved with the installation of these things...I'm stuck between the Jet Hots and these pacesetters.....I hear the pacesetters are easier to install, but how much easier?
