Just got my TES headers in...

I picked up my Edelbrock TES headers today (big thumbs up on the delivery time ), they look good, but the primaries look like they need to be port/polished...anyone else had to do this or have any recommendations on how to do it? I was thinking of taking the gaskets and tracing the primaries and grinding them to that point...not quite sure how I'm doin it yet, I'll wait for some input from you guys! Thanx alot fellas, I'll post a pic of what all came with it on my website, check it out if you want...

To be honest with u, I would leave the primaries how they come out of the box. Some people who have ported and polished them go a little too far and weaken the weld spots. This would lead to some nasty exhaust leaks.

I'm not too worried about the weld spots, my buddy has a f-load of weldin stuff and is pretty good, we just welded turn-downs on my exhaust so it wont be so loud...

Edelbrock headers are welded inside the tubes, so thats probably why everything looks like it needs to be ported. I would leave it alone unless you want to reweld them on the outside of the tubes.

Hey Chesee, did you get a SOTP gain from these? Or know about how much HP/TQ u gained? I haven't installed them yet, and just wondering what to expect. this is pretty much the last thing I needed for my 'full exhaust'.

Anyone care to take a guess at my RWHP with this stuff:

-Thunder Racing Airfoil
-1LE Elbow
-SS Style Functional Ram Air
-Edelbrock TES Headers
-!Cat
-Flowmaster 80 Series dumped about 6" from muffler.
-160* T-Stat

this is in a 95 Z28 t-top with A4 and 3.73's. I'm just curious as to opinions/guesstimations on this. thanx fellas
