Just got my Mac headers.. Bolts? , gaskets? should they be included???

Just got my mac mids today. I have the bolts that connect the headers to the heads, but what about the bolts that connect the headers to the y pipe? and ypipe to cat?

Also, i have header gaskets for between the headers. I dont need any gaskets between the headers & y-pipe right?

Thanks!

I dont know what kind of bolts you have for the headers but if you dont have self locking ones get them. I got breslins they are nice. No there is no gasket in between the headers y-pipe, some use flanges and some are welded.

i use the stage 8 locking bolts, both for the header to the head and the collectors.

I've had them on my car for over 3 years, not ONE leak or bolt backing out, they are the way to go in my opinion.

i have the stage 8 bolts for bolting the header to the heads. i don;t want to use them for the collectors... Shouldn't i have received bolts with the headers?

Go with ARP bolts. The Stage 8's are a pain in the ***...

gaskets? Fel-Pro 1406, or if you wanna dish out the extra cash for better ones, Percy's Dead-Soft Aluminum.

I used the Stage 8's as well, and I love them. I used the GM stock replacement gaskets and have never had a leak. I had them on before and after my motor build up.

I use the stock GM aluminum gasket. My first one lasted me 2 years without any leaks at all (replaced when I did the head gaskets). The GM ones are on it again now and no leaks in over a year. I also used the bolts that came with the headers.

When i got my mac mids, it came with a y pipe and all the necessary hardware. as for stage 8 bolts, which you already have, they arent really something that you have to have in my opinion. I used the bolts that came with the headers and tightened them once and never had a leak or one come loose after that.

Werd

The stage 8's are so hard to install it aint worth it. Get some 1" ARP stainless and you can torque them down very hard.
Mine have never backed out.
