Just got a cutout, is this normal?

Ok guys i just got a cutout. First off i felt a tiny bit of improvement using the butt dyno... can't say how much i felt really cause i dont know how much 1 HP feels like! But it diffinatly soudns awesome.

Ok onto the problem, before on my car my RPM's did drop kinda slow (is this normal on the LT1?) But now my RPM's drop even slow! i revved my car to 5000 RPM and then just shutoff the car, it took like 3 or 4 second for the engine to spin down!!! is this normal?

Well, i have no problems with it spinning down, but i would definately recomend AGAINST reving it to 3000 and then shutting it off. Not too good for your motor man

when u rev it to 5k like u said and shut it off my guess is you would have a bunch of fuel and no spark. With the motor still spinning there could be a chance of all that extra fuel u dumped in there igniting and blowing your exhaust off, thats bout it. Not flaming ya or anything but why would you want to free rev it like that and shut it off anyways??? 5k is alot on a motor with no load on it, that alone is preety hard on a motor.
