Well ive been trying to get my car to pass smog and it seemed i had a ton of problems well according to the mechanic. It took me 2 weeks to figure out that he was stringing me along to charge me for repaires the car did not need or my other option was to pay him extra to pass my smog. I just purchased another Z and this one unlike the one in my Sig has only a drop in filter thats it, had its cats, no aftermarker exhuast or nothing i couldnt figure it out. Till i was told to take it somewhere else by a friend he has had issues with the same mechanic. So i did and come to find out i passed smog with no issues.

I couldnt believe how dirty this guy was and how he was trying to act like i have a crappy car and these cars are notorious for failing smog. I thought i had some motor issue, 02's or something was horribly wrong i was pretty pissed after buying another Z i would run into so many issues as the guy was stating. Other then telling this guy off is there anything i can do to stop this from happening to anyone else? this guys seems like he does it well and on the regular he had me fooled for a while. Sorry for the long post

 

Thats the reason io never take my car to a mechanic unless its my best friend!

Learned my lesson, im gonna start trying to work on my car for the basic stuff and really ask around for a good mechanic from now on.
