Just did tb bypass... now what?

well, I'm waiting on my LT4 KM and I just did the tb bypass and actually felt some SOTP gain so I'm lookin for more ideas. Any are welcome, I also took out the screen infront of the MAF so that is done. Other mods are in the sig, waiting for $ to do 1.6rr's and a full valvetrain rebuild for a big cam... anything I should do before it? besides suspension/new tires...

thanks for help!

you felt a sotp gain from tb bypass? you know that mod doesnt give you power over stock right? it just gives back what a hot tb would have taken away at operating temps. i think maybe you got the placebo affect going on there

It is a proven hp gain. Read this.

i know that but it is not over stock.
take for instance when you first start the car up it is cold right. so you are pulling the engines full hp from stock. now when the tb heats up it starts taking power away because the tb is getting hotter. well the tb bypass keeps the tb from getting hot so basically you are staying at you engines rated hp

The engine hp is rated with the coolant flowing thru the TB, so I consider it a gain.

no hating here i know it is proven to give some gains. it just makes me laugh when people say they got a sotp from it or they noticed a diff. also the tb will stilll get hot in slow driving it wont cool off until the air starts moving through the tb at faster speeds to cool it so it really only gives you a gain at higher speeds

this is disturbing, I felt a gain in the mid-range 3000-4500 range w/ my headers, 3" exhaust to a cut-out... I dont really care if you dont think I can feel a gain. it has been proven at the site he showed you and many others before that. just go away troll.

Find a used CAI, their fairly cheap. Lose the front sway bar when you go to the track,You'll have to buy new end links when you put it back on, 30 bucks maybe? Pump the front tires up to 40 psi. Take out the extra weight, spare, jack, maybe the back seat and belts. And while your at it make sure the washer solvent bottle is empty. With some sticky tires and some decent air I would think you could cut some low 13's.
