Just bought LT4 KM???/

ok i jsut heard from a friend that since i have my PCM tuned, i DO NOT Need a LT4 KM? is this tru, and also heard that this could help out on my LT install that isnt going very well right now?
please let me know ASAP...and if this is tru and i DONT need it i will go ahead and sale it for what i bought it at which was 45 shipped....
please let me know

YES you need it. The LT4 KM is less sensitive to noise.

Yes you do still need it. The stock LT1 KM is much more prone to pick up false knock no matter what your PCM is programed to do! False knock can = performance loss!!

The PCM tune and KM are completely different things.

Yes, you still need it.

There are 2 kinds of knock, true knock and false knock. Noiser valve trains (1.6 RR's) and headers produce more mechanical noise. This noise can be picked up by the knock sensor and interpreted as predetonation. The LT4 engine came with RR's and the LT4 knock module was tuned to not listen to this mechanical noise, therefore less prone to false knock.
