Jumping on the dyno. Any last minute tips?
I'm jumping on the dyno tomorrow.
Any last minute tips?
I have a 383 LT1 with a 700R4, a 3200 stall converter, and 3.23 gears.

But don't let the car completely cool, not that it would since it's summer. Try to have it at your normal operating temp that you see on the street or at the track. All my runs were withink 5 hp, but i wasn't surprised that the third one was best because it was just a hair cooler.
Now on the other hand if you just want the best dyno numbers run it cold, strap it down loosely, and air up your tires like oldSS said in another post.

I have Nitto DRs.
Air them to 45psi?
How much of a hp difference does it make airing up your tires?
My engine builder estimated my output at 444hp (worst case scenario) or upto 470hp with proper tuning.
