Jumping in car

today i pulled away from a stop sign and noticed that my car jumped and made a sound to the next gear

it doesn't happen in every gear or everytime, but sometimes when i pull frmo a stop or slow speed it "pops" or something but gets in the next gear. its hard to explain but any ideas on what this could be ?

Pretty vague there. Does it affect the shifting, or the power, or what?

If it doesn't affect the shifting or the power, it just might be a suspension issue, e.g.,bushings, etc.

You might take it to a brake/suspension outfit that will check it for free and eliminate the non-engine/tranny possiblilities and go from there.

Sometimes it is difficult to isolate these types of symtoms without putting the sucker on a hoist and taking a look see.JMHO

Ok well driving a lil more today i can tell you how it is

when launching or taking off from a stop it jumps/pops, it feels like its comming frmo the passenger back wheel side.

when you HIT the accelerator it jumps and jumps going into second. driving normally it doesn't do it.

I hope this helps narrow it down some

thanks
