Post Jordan Musser

Let me start off by saying i have read your GMHTP article MANY times and i worship that writeup. i have similar plans to that you did. i want an lt1 daily drivable that will run super low ets on street tires and even lower on slicks. i just need a few answers out of you. if i can take some of your time.... answer as many or few as you like:

1 when you bored you block out to .060 over, were you concerned about the walls being to thin for such a big shot of N20? (i want 300shot dp on my stroker also)

2 what is the tire combo and launch sequence you used to get a 1.4 60' time? that is what i consider amazing for a manual

3 how did you launch on street tires?

4 with all that power on a daily driver, didnt the clutch kill your leg?

5 did you do that 10.3 nitrous pass on the 28" slicks? did you use a progressive controller? it seems like that much power would have terrible traction issues.

6 was your 10 second passes with the 4.10s? again how did you manage that traction wise?

7 other than reinforced torque arm, LCAs, panhard, and stickies, what other goods helped you get killer 60' times?

8 what were the details of your nitrous set up, how did you engage it, and what were the turn on/off RPMs?

9 what was your daily driver weight?

Thanks for looking, and anyone who can tell me this info, or has similar experience please chime in. and let me reinterate one more time, that article is inspirational!! i cant wait to get the money to get started.

ps i forgot a search, but since i already typed this all out i am posting anyways, i will go search now, lol

Consider that Jordan might not want to divulge all that info and that since this is directed solely at Jordan, an email to him might have been more appropriate and productive.

thanks for the reply rob, i know some people are like that, but most of the questions i asked are more about his style (traction stuff) and his automotive theories (question 1). not really anything ultra secret...if in case he would rather reply with a personal email, i completely understand, or if he doesnt want to reply to certain questions i understand that too. i was just looking for answers to problems i know i will run into. thanks for the reply and i will email him if he would rather.

ps. your website has proven very useful also, keep up the good work

sorry, didn't see your post.

1), yes. I would reccomend a .030 over

2) 15x10.5 ET drag. I launched at 6500 on motor, and about 5k on bottle.

3) off idle, it had plenty of power down low

4) power doesn't mean stiff clutch. I ran a kevlar disk for awhile(stock pressure plate) and then in the latter stages a street twin.

5) no, all at once.. and yes, it was tough to hook up!

6), yes with 4.10s. more gear makes launching easier.. more gear = easier to not spin( you can launch at a lower rpm)
7) thats it.

8) it was all automatic. on at 3k, off at 7000

i raced and daily drove it at about 3700lbs +-50.
