Jet Stage 2 Power Module information (scan tool info)

I have one on my car and i was thinking about it today and i really don't know what it does. I was checking my car with a scan tool the other day and figured i'd check a few things. I didnt check the A/F ratio, i can't remember why. I think it's because i couldnt find it and i figured since my car is OBD 1 that i probably couldnt check that. Anyway this is what i noticed.

Transmission performance - always OPEN. It was only closed when the button was held down. I know that i can still feel the difference when it shifts under low acceleration, but both modes shift in the red.

TPS - I don't think that this has anything to do with the module, but at idle it is 0% and goes to 100% right before the pedal stops.I just noticed on most (never checked another f-body) the idle is around 15% and most dont hit 100%.

Timing - At idle it's around 19 degrees and when reved and held at around 2,000 rpm is about 38 degrees

I don't really know what i am looking for, but i was setting up my former automtive instructors new Genesys scan tool, which is extremely nice by the way, and i decided i would check out my car with it. What else should i look for? I am going back to that school again tomorrow to fix his scan tool (says it won't turn on) and i can get more info if you want. Also if i have enough time i can removed it and compare info before and after as long as someone tells me what i should look for.
