Got a quote from Jet Hot that coating my MAC Mid Headers and ORY which I am considering buying would cost 227. The headers/ORY cost 500 from macperformance.com (anyone know a cheaper place?). GMMG is 700 and the header/ory combination is going to be ~700. I have approx. 1,500 to spend on mods for my car and just wondering which one I should get. I don't care much about performance yet, I just want my car to run good first (thats why I think I should only buy the headers or the cat back because I want to completley tune er' up first.) Thanks...

 

Stick with just the cat-back for now before you get serious. It's just not worth it for headers yet for you if performance isnt a big deal, just too much of a headache. Not just the instalation either.

 

do the catback for now unless you wanna spend the whole 1,500

if ya do wanna spend it all I would suggest pacesetter LTs, coated for $400, y-pipe is 150 premade or 100 for a custom from a shop

 

??? Why don't you just buy the MAC headers/Y-pipe directly from Jet-Hot. Jet-Hot sells MAC mid headers(which come with the ORY), Jet-hot coated for about $560 shipped.

I wouldn't do headers until you have a catback. Personally, I did both at the same time. ($560 for headers&Y-pipe, $280 for Hooker Catback, and $65 for a bolt in bullet muffler to raplace the cat) So $905 total. Sounds and performs awesome.

A good rule of thumb is cat back and SFCs first. So I'd just do the cat back and the other stuff later.

I'd go with the catback first as well but there are better catback systems to choose from. Do some research on them first before you make a purchase. Im not a personal fan of chambered exhausts but to each their own. Good luck with it.

 

you could get gmmg (which sounds awesome) and then get the rk sport middie headers from rksport.com for 450 (includes y-pipe)
beware though, the headers are on backorder (should be shipping soon though from what i've heard)
