jet hot lt headers

hello my jet hot long tube install is complete, anyway my car felt a little less torquey and the sound is a little different than when i had the edelbrock shortys.so my question is i have jet hot long tubes into a custom 4inch y pipe going into a 3 inch flowmaster cat back what is a great flowing muffler to replace the flowmaster muffler with and sounds nice and deep it sounds a little raspy now. thank you

Sounds right. You've lost it from decreasing backpressure, which is good. You just need some power adders.

Everyone says how bad a flowmaster is because of the baffels in them.

Has anyone had them on a dyno on a modded car with a different catback that is "better flowing" as a comparison ??? I was jsut wondering how big a difference it could make on a stock, lightly modded, and a modded, say heads cam headers car ...

Our setups are real close.
I run the HotCam also, with alot of bolt-ons. I have Jethot LT's into a Mufflex y-pipe, and into a 3" Hooker Catback. I use a Flowtech cut out at the track. Just by addind this exhaust, I gained 40 RWHP. I recommened the Hooker. Do a search and alot of people on here have said only good things about it.

Dig through these see what you find you might like. I installed the Dynatech 3" Silencer Cones yesterday from Summit Racing. They don't do squat for taming the beast sound with the afterheader dual 3" cutouts...BUT! they did deepen the Borla a little more without affecting backpressure whatsoever. Longtubes tend to affect every catback system because they were designed to work with stock pre-cat exhaust systems. Trial & Error to adjust them from there.
