Jet hot longtubes

i was looking to see how many other people have the jethot longtubes on your LT1. I've had a little problem with my coating, basicly it's gone. most of the upper coating is still there from looking above, but underneath it's completely peeled away. and i think my front drivers side primary tube that slips on is leaking. does jethot stand behind their coating? what kind of warantee to they have? i couldnt find it on their site. I've had the headers for a little while now and my car is never driven in the snow. barely in the rain.

do they make a drivers side 1 piece longtube header? where the front tube is attached?

Re: Jet hot longtubes

My 3 year old jet hots have been slowly loosing their finish from the bottom up. Mine have never seen snow but hav been in the rain. Right now there is light surface rust but nothing deep. I think alot of other members have had the same problems. I'm pretty sure that Jet Hot has a life time warranty but you will have to take the heads off the car and send them to them to be recoated. I'm just going to wait untill I rebuild my engine to remove them and replace them with a set of Kooks.

My Jethot caoted Hookers are rusted on the bottom with little coated left on the collector tubes. Sometimes they offer to cover it but its at least week turn around. I'll just keep them on there till I get some Stainless Kooks or something.

The surface rust can be taken off with some WD-40 and steel wool.

ditto... lots of surface rust, but I've got some areas where the coating is completely gone.

I'd like some stainless kook's as well

Re: Jet hot longtubes

Same surface rust problem here, when I did my heads, I sent them to Jet-Hot and for ~$55 in shipping I have a brand new looking set of headers. It took probably 2-2.5 weeks from the day I shipped them out to receive them. The service was top notch, I was very impressed. One of my O2 bungs was all messed up due to one of the sensors being cross threaded and forced in, when the headers came back it was a brand new bung. I didn't even mention it to them and they caught it and replaced it no questions asked. I know that they sent me my headers due to some markings that I put on them.

Yes, same thing with my JH long tubes. They will honor the warranty but only one time!
You pay shipping.
They seem to have a problem with coating 'their header' and that is strange because they started in the coating business.
I was in the first group purchase and got a super deal on my LT's. Other than the coating, good quality, good fit, good original finish.

I am now running them on my 383, 10.8et at 124 mph. but would go with a bigger tube header if I was going to do it again. They were originally purcased for a LT1 350 with just a 230x236 cam.

i got mine early as well, i think i paid 394 or something like that for mine without emissions tubes.

I'll have to yank mine off when i have a few weeks that i cant drive it and send them in. will they have me in their records?

Re: Jet hot longtubes

They should have a record of your purchase and shipping or you could produce possibly an email from the Group Purchase ?
They are very responsive as to re-work.
