You bet i did!!

When I kept on taking off and on the air injection hose to remove the valve cover (to adjust rockers) on pass. side it broke right at the weld on the header tube. Also the welds around the collector flange were marginal. Noticed black carbon around some places.

Needless to say I had to go through the BS of taking it off to re-weld it. If you do re-weld use stainless rod and TIG weld them.

BTW my headers were coated.

Jet Hot has the emissions crap right?

And its the Hookers that don't have it?

Exact same header, but hookers are not available with EGR and AIR?

The Jet Hot longtubes and Hooker longtubes are in fact not the same. You can order Jet Hot's with or without emissions fittings, it's your choice. Hooker's only come without. You then usually have to get Hooker's coated with something like Jet Hot's sterling ceramic coating due to heat issues.

So would you guys recommend getting the non AIR and EGR stuff and just deleting it from your car? If you delete it do you have to reprogram your PCM on a 97 to keep from getting a SES light?

I would of called Jethot. Tell them the problem, be nice, and ask if they can fix them. I bet they would do it for free+shipping. Heck, they may just replace them. I have only had good service from them.

Bah all the trouble to take the headers out, send them back, get them back, and install them again isn't worth the trouble all the trouble when I can buy a tube of exhaust sealant and be done with it. Only took 5 minutes to fix Maybe they will give me a discount when I get my intake ceramic coated?

That's being lazy. Doing stuff like that turns a car into a POS down the road. After awhile you get little problems built up everywhere and the car never runs right again and is nearly impossible to diagnose.

>I lucked out . I could remove the drivers side that is seperate from the other 3 cylinders and get this awesome welder to fix it up .
I just had to go through the trouble of jacking the car , disconnecting the Y-pipe , disconnecting the headers from the drivers side, and diconnecting the steering linkage .
easy as pie ...
BTW - Do Not Touch the weld until the metal cools down (ask me how I know this ) .
