Jet hot headers need the bolt SIZE (thread size, diameter and such)

The headers have a 5/16" flange. I was planning on going with 1" grade 8 allen head bolts with lock washers. I am not sure of the exact size. With a search this is the size that came up the most. Does this include the thread size and such? I can't remember how they measure the thread size, so i want to be sure i have the right measurements when i go to the hardware store.

3/8"-16 x 1

You have the correct size.................USE BRESLIN!!!!! They cost me $74 from Jegs but DAMN!!!!! worth every penny. It made install alot easier and I won't have any blown header gaskets.

I know it make install eaiser because I used the bolts Jet-Hot sent me the first time.....big mistake.

Well im getting the Jet hots used so i wont have the bolts. I plan on getting them from a harware store for like $20. I can't justify spending $70 for bolts lol. I'll be using $6 paper gaskets too, just doubled up. I will probably be cutting these to fit directly around each set of primaries too. Will an SBC gasket work for the LT1?

I'm using $15 ARP bolts and they worked fine with the felpro gaskets on both cars in sig. I've used the paper gaskets that came with the headers, but shoul've put them in the right place at the first time...the trash. Changing a bad gaskets on these cars is no fun, I would pay the $18 for a good and proven gasket and be done.

Yeah i will be using the Felpro or MR gasket ones. I forgot the brand. I think they are only $6 though. I used them on my 79 camaro. Are the LT1 gaskets the same as SBC gaskets though?

Yes, the LT1 is just another SBC, but make sure to get the D port gaskets that match. I used felpro 1406 D port for the camaro, and 1426 O port for the impy.
