if you haven't already, replace that spare tire with a can of "fix-a-flat". take out the spare jack as well.

then you can remove teh rear seats, as well as AC/heater junk, the air system, etc, etc.

then you can go with a carbon fiber hood or something, get a carbon fiber driveshaft, etc, etc. that'll cost a bit though.

also, this doesn't reduce weight, but relocating the battery to the back hatch can even out the front/rear weight distro by 1 point, as well as helping you a bit on the launches.

You could probably also go with a fuel cell if you really want...

Tire jack, spare tire, backseat, pass seat, <100lb driver, depends on how far you want to go. just for the strip thats about all you can do. permanently speaking...EGR, AIR, A/C, battery to the back, chromoly suspension parts.....

You could take that heavy *** iron block out and put an all aluminum in there, IE LS1 but that would be cheating and traitoring against the LT1. Hmm, I wouldnt worry about too much more, i think everythings been said, and what sucks is after all that we are still well over 3000 in these bricks. Just get some more power to overcome the weight.

Oh yeah, forgot, you could build a tube chassis out of chromoly or carbon fiber and build the car around it...

You could also remove bumper supports, air bags, power steering, padding under carpet (or remove the carpet all together), passenger seat.

Things you could buy would be light weight seats, tubular k-member, tubular a-arms....

It just really depends on how far you wanna go with the weight removal.
