jegs torque arm kit

Has anybody used this kit and if so where does the crossmember bolt to. Does it bolt to the g load brace bolts or just to the floor pan. Thanks Prorac1

I have one installed. And I'm not sure about your question. The "kit" consists of three parts.

Saddle
Pivot Arm
Torque Arm

Nothing is bolted to the K-member. In fact this torque arm is about 2/3 shorter than the factory one. You put the car up on four jackstands (to load the suspension) and pull back the entire interior carpet and drill about 13 holes in the trans tunnel and bolt the saddle to the under side. Which is a pain in the ****. You will have to do some "creative cutting" around the console braces. Then, you slide the Pivot Arm into the saddle and 1 big bolt holds it. (although I suggest that you attach the pivot into the saddle first, then bolt the saddle.) Then you slide the Torque Arm onto the pivot and bolt it to the rear end. There is some "quality" issues with it, but all and all for what it is, it's good. This "kit" is mainly for engine swaps or tranny mods.

I was referring to the g load brace on the car, the pics in jegs are kinda sketchey. My plan is to build my own torque arm with adjustable pinion angle and mount it to a crossmember that bolts to the original gload brace mounts. I think its a good idea, but im a little partial, lol. So what do ya think guys, good idea or am i smokin crack. prorac1

The jeg's steup mounts to the floorpan up in the driveshaft tunnel.
Spohn uses the tunnel brace mounts for their torque arm and apparently that works but the mounts do look a bit flimsy to me. If you have the ability to fabricate your own torque arm you may want to consider reinforcing those mounts.
