I think prices have recently gone up. Jason or Dal are the cheapest you will find for new GM parts.

Non vented opti is usually $100 more than a vented opti. So ya, the price is fair.

You always have to pay attention to the year car that it is needed for. Like AsianSensation said, the non-vented is ~$100 more than the vented.

93-94 non-vented
95-97 vented

Autozones are A LOTTTTT cheaper. Get one from there. They are rebuilt, but have a lifetime warrenty.

Yes he speaks the truth. They quoted me $172 for one with the cap & rotor for my non vented 94. Throw in a lifetime warrenty and I don't care how long it lasts.

Yes...Ask for a distributor.

Dunno....but I've been having problems lately with Jay. Maybe he's busy or something. I recently ordered some parts from him that didn't come for awhile. I called him back and asked him if the parts had come in and he said no. I cancelled the order and got the parts somewhere else. Next thing I know the parts I order from him show up 3 days later. I called him and he told me he would send me a label to send them back. That has never come. Right now I've got 300 bucks worth of parts that aint doin crap.

Dunno...I've heard a lot of good things about him but maybe I've just been unlucky. You make the call.

Ditto. Ignore that two thumbs up post I made a few days ago. I ordered an opti (vented) last week (22nd) and got it in on Monday the 27th. Broken. The plastic where the #5 plug boot attaches was shattered. So, I call back, get told a new one will go out on Tuesday the 28th. Call back thursday the 30th, found out nothing had been sent, and Jason was not in. Call Friday the 31st and speak with Jason, and he thought I was wanting a whole vented conversion. I explain that I was supposed to TNT my car today and I HAVE to have it running since I took monday off to get it registered and inspected. He said he would overnight it to me. Come saturday morning at 11:52 am, and no delivery. UPS stops at noon. I'm kinda a little more than pissed right now because my car should be running already, not still sitting apart because they sent out a poorly packed product in the first place.

I deal with autozone all the time and they are great to me. Even though it is rebuilt they are just as good, or close. Plus, it has a lifetime warrenty, that should be enough right there for you to get it from them.
