Is Jason Cromer still around? Another source for wholesale parts?

I've tried calling the number Shoebox (who is the man, by the way) has listed for Jason, but it keeps disconnecting.

As usual, the prices for GM Parts Direct look good, until you get to the checkout and shipping portion. (Ex: I need two o-rings for the optispark driveshaft, but they come in packs of ten. The price says $1.25, which I assumed was for the pack, but apparently that is PER o-ring! So $12.50 for the pack, plus another $12.95 to ship it! WTF? Over a dollar per o-ring to buy, and again to ship?!) Anyway, I've got my new OEM opti ordered from thepartsladi, but I need miscellaneous other items to reinstall the opti and wp. New opti and water pump front cover seals, plus new opti shaft o-rings and wp shaft o-rings.

Are these items typically available at my local autozone or oreilly (or NAPA)? I planned to just order the lot from Jason, but I don't know if he is still around or has moved on like Dal.

Anyone know? Or is there another person / dealer on the scene who deals with the community the way Dal and Jason always did?

Thanks for any info.

I just bought an opti from thepartsladi a few weeks ago. It came with the two o-rings already on the opti shaft and the oil seals, waterpump gaskets and o-rings, etc. come in a Felpro kit I picked up at the local Advance Auto.

Fel-pro part #TCS 45956

Comes with timing cover gasket, 2 WP gaskets, front crank seal, opti seal, WP seal, and opti o-rings for ~$12. I got mine at NAPA.

My opti had the o-rings on it already so I didn't use the ones in the set. If you want em, they're yours.

EDIT: I re-read your post and your opti should come in with the o-rings. The fel-pro gasket set I mentioned above has all the gaskets/seals you will need for your opti install.

Pretty sure Jason is still there. (850) 855-4147 is the main number (that's why I posted a link to their site on my page). Just ask for parts or Jason. I wasn't sure the old number was any good. I'll remove it.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Sounds like the Felpro kit should take care of what I need. Excellent!

Actually, just to be clear, that includes the press-in front cover seal at the camshaft for the opti drive and the (delicate) press-in front cover seal for the water pump drive shaft? Enfuego, you didn't mention the two little o-rings that go at each end of the water pump coupler. Are those not included in the kit? If not, does Felpro offer those separately?

EDIT: 956spdTA mentions a Felpro kit (presumably the same one), and he did mention water pump o-rings. So maybe I'm in the clear with that kit?

Thanks again folks.

The fel pro kit includes the seals for the opti and WP. The kit says the o-rings are for the opti shaft. I have heard that they can be used on the WP. I am not 100% sure though.

EDIT:

Did some quick research and supposedly the o-rings that come with the kit are for the WP, not the opti.

I exchanged email with him within the last couple of weeks about a fuel pump and sending unit.

Anyone know the status of their dealership and the announced GM closings?
