Jack points

Ok, i know you can jack up the car from the sub-frames(and that pad thing on the front), or SFC's if you have them. There is the rear axel.
But what about if i just wanted to get the front wheels off the ground. I would have to get them off the ground, so ramps are not an option. Can you use the K-member?? Im talking about that skid-plate looking thing infront of the oil pan. Is that ok to lift with so i can get the jack stands under the sub-frames?
Thanks. Gotta put on new brakes soon.

I use the K member. If you want to keep from putting dents in it, use something for a cushion between it and your jack. Just don't use something that will slip.

What's the K-Member? Is that the "A-Frame" that holds the wheels there? You could jack the car up by the engine brace? But I prefer to use the "A-Frame" as someone once told me they were called?

K-member, front sub-frame, front crossmember (official term), engine cradle...all the same thing. The big, honkin' thing that is under the front of the oil pan and the power steering rack is bolted to.
