necessary to replace parking brake assembly. Plastic grip on mine broke and I got one with a nice leather grip. Thought the grip was replaceable. Thought wrong.

Is this tool required or can a decent tool box with various pliers, needle noses and vise grips do the job? ie I would get a spring compressor to do springs and not rely on what I have in tool box.
