Ok, I got the car to stay idling today (it used to die when it went into closed loop)

Now the problem is that it dies when you say stop at a stop light. The RPM's drop down to about 500, then it dies. Now, if you tap the gas a little (once they drop down to 500), it recovers and is fine.

Any insight on this issue? Would mainly like to isolate if its a mechanical issue or a tune issue (tune from PCM4LESS)

Any type of data log would help a lot. If you have access to a log, post it up.

Your Idle Air Control (IAC) mounted in your throttlebody is the device to maintain your idle. The control might be faultly, the passages in the TB may be clogged or the harness to the IAC may be damaged.

 

Accell's have a rep for poor idle. I had some myself and noticed a huge difference going to Lucas/Delphi ones. Have you cleaned around your throttle blades lately? Sometimes carbon/dirt etc...can keep the blades from fully closing.
