Interior lights?

OK, I not sure if this is normal or not, cuz it was like this when i bought the car back in october, but it seems like i can't turn my interior lights off (domes and reirveiew mirror lights) i have it in the normall postion, all the way up, right before it clicks, and stays on the whole time. They turn off when my doors are closed and i am driving. The problem is when i have my hatch open, or doors open when i am cleaning it or whatever i am doing, i can't turn them off. Is this normal? i jsut seems a little weird not to be able to turn them off with the doors open. This is when i have the key out of the ignition and in. Thanks

Normal. Every domestic car I've owned has had lights on with the door or hatch opened. I guess it's assumed that if something is open, you might want light to see what you're doing. The one Honda had a 3 position switch that was all off, on with doors, or all on.

Ya, this is normal. It was not designed for those of us that keep our doors open for long periods of time while we work on them. I am sure there is a way to set yours up to stay off even if the door or hatch is open, but you would have to do this custom. Good luck!
