Question Interior light problem

A few months ago I was trying to replace one of the steering wheel radio control light bulbs and I obviously screwed something up. For some reason now I turn the headlights on and they work fine, but my gauge cluster, steering wheel controls, and ac/heat controls do not light up. I replace the switch and checked the fuse, but all that to no avail. Is there a fusible link, or something behind the dash that I could have shorted. I bought a white faced gauge cluster that lights up now that is wired to the switch so I can see me gauges, but nothing else. Help! Been trying to fix this for months now.

Same thing happened in my car the other day. I haven't had a chance yet to work on it, but if i find out what it is, i will post it. Unless of course, you've already fixed it.

Thanks and no I havent fixed it. I honestly havent even worried about it that much, because I have the white gauge that lights up, i can still read my gauges at night, its just one of those many little things with my car that **** me off, because I dont know what is causing it. I will never stop until everything on my car works the way it is supposed to!
