i read every how to on the net i think and this is the user friendly one i can find.

i read in another one and on the o2simulator.com website that the only thing i need to do to be able to hook up both o2's to this one simulator is come off the simulator with 2 wires instead of one. since there is no draw both inputs on the computer will see the same voltage, no need to buy or build two sims.

keep that in mind everyone. when you BUY o2sims just buy one and solder a wire to the signal wire from the sim and run it over to the other o2's harnes. you can get by with one sim. that is some money savin info there.

I know i am building one for myself asap if i cant find a single o2sim for less then 20 bux.

 

The problem will be packaging. Protecting all those nice electrical joints from the elements. He is estimating the cost probably without encapsulation. Not to mention the size will be huge compared to one like that listed below.

I purchased the one listed below that is a 2 channel unit to feed both O2's from one simulator for $25.00. I have every capability of building one but just don't enjoy it any more. For me $25 was well spent for a tiny, well made and encapsulated part.

That would have been a great project when I used to be an electrical engineering student. But for 40.00 a piece, I will stick with what Casper provides for me.

 

That box that you so elequently show, is not weather tight. And is huge compared to simulators offered on the market. You could fill it with something like Build 50 or epoxy. But then your cost savings goes out the window. That will be the only way to protect the socket with the 555 in it from vibrational or corrosion damage.

However to place this into reality, even if the circuit fails, there is no functional defect. Only the pesky SES light for cat efficiency so circuit problems really don't matter.
