Question Intake Manifold ? About Anodizing

I was thinking , instead of painting my intake manifold , i was going to have it anodized since i have a friend that will do it for free. The question i have is if i have it anodized will it harm the intake manifold in any way ??

Any help asap would be greatly appreciated !! Thanks

Nope, can't see anodize having any effect on it. People anodize aluminum all the time.

Best of luck.

I don't see that being a problem either. Anodize is usually on the level of tens of thousandths of an inch thick. Any anodize in the fuel spray path is gonna get removed by the fuel but that's all gonna be internal so it won't effect anything comsmetically.

I have been thinking about powdercoating my intake, but never anodizing. I'm interested, though. Does anyone have any pics of an anodized intake?

ILL POST BEFORE AND AFTER PICS NEXT WEEK WHEN I GET IT BACK SO ALL CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE.

I THINK IT WILL BE ALOT BETTER THAN PAINT OR A POWDERCOAT SEEING AS HOW THE ANODIZE IS PUT ON THOUGH A CHEMICAL TANK AND BASICLY ELECTRIC COATED ON ! ANODIZE WILL STAY WITH THE HEAT PAINT WHEN OLD WILL TEND TO CRACK AND FADE AND FLAKE !!

SO I HOPE IT WILL TURN GOOD AND WORK WELL WITH NO FUTRE PROBLEMS !!

SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS !! A PROGRAM I AM RUNNING AT WORK REQUIRES CAPS TO BEABLE TO READ IT !!

THANKS FOR ALL THE RESPONSE'S AND WILL GET THE PICS UP ASAP.
