Say if you were to have the rear intake leak could you try to retighten the intake manifold to 35 pounds all the way around.
anybody ever tried, anybody think it will work?

 

No, it will not work. The intake is not sealed by a gasket on the front and back. When it begins to leak it is because you are either getting blowby or the RTV has been blown out. Once the oil has lubed either side of the RTV you can forget about tightening as a solution.
