Intake hose?
What is the hose that runs in to the intake on our cars? And what's it for?

If you're talking about the hose which goes into the airbox, that is part of the A.I.R. system.

I'm talking about the hose after the air box but before the MAF. I took it off to see what it did and the hose was sucking in air...

Sounds like the air feed for the AIR pump. Don't leave it open.
