Intake gasket

I am going to replace my intake gasket soon because it leaks like a bitch. Now, Ive only had my 94 LT1 for about a year and am still learning. As long as I have the intake manifold off, how difficult is it to replace the spark plugs?? Does anyone know of any walkthroughs with pictures?? Thanks.

Replacing sparkplugs is not any easier with the intake off - I think you might be confusing things with the exhaust manifolds which obstruct access to the sparkplugs.

if you want to change your plugs do yourself a favor and get one of those slp plug sockects which is a deep well cut in half. Intake removal will not make this easier, exhaust mainfolds, yes.

Check out www.shbox.com, his site is a treasure chest full of LT1 info and there is some info in there on the intake manifold removal. Removal of the intake manifold will not help plug access, but long tube headers will.

Removing the valve covers can provide you more room to access the plugs.
