Installing a Milodon Windge Tray with a stock pan
Installing a Milodon Windge Tray with a stock pan
Need some help with this, i have 4 bolt splayed caps and i bought the milodon studs for the tray. I was wondering how do i go about securing the tray to the studs and doing it evenly. The kit came with 2 sets of nutts per stud. I not sure why? I am i suppose to use one of the nutts to adjust the tray and then put the tray on and put the other nutt on? I just not sure exactly how to adjust the tray eveny as the studs are not 100 even and the tray had nothing to rest on so when i tighten the nutt it will band the tray.....blah!
Someone enlighten me
Thanks

Re: Installing a Milodon Windge Tray with a stock pan
i have the same miloiden trey in my stock pan...
if the engine is on the stand, turn it over so the cap studs are facing up...screw one nut on each stud so the flat part is facing up, then put the trey on and put the other nut on the stud after the trey with the flat part down. so the 2 nuts are sandwiching the pan, put a wrench on the bottom nut, and a socket on the nut on top and tighten..hey just a heads up, its really hard to get the oil dip stick in the pan with that trey, (found that afterwards lol ) just giving u a heads up. when the dip stick goes in its not at the "factory angle" so you will have to put exactly 5 quarts of oil in it, take the stick out and mark a line where it's full. cuz it won't be matching up to the original markings on the stick.
