Installing headers on a 97 camaro

I am hoping this is the correct section for this question...This is my first completely "stock" lt1 camaro,I am installing ceramic coated pacesetter long tube headers,I am removing the cats, and emission componets...My question is where do I relocate the O2 sensors to?I have not received the headers yet,so i dont know if they have provisions for the 4 O2 sensors.I know that they have 2 locations for them, but i am unsure about the other 2.Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

You don't use the rear ones, you'll have to get 02 simulaters or tune them out of the pcm. The front 02s go in the headers and you'll need to buy wire extension harness for both of them. Some people cut the factory harness and splice in extra wire but I don't recommend cutting up the factory harness if it isn't necessary.

Rear O2s use 4-pin square connectors.

Just about any site sponsor can get simms for you.

I put Pacesetter LTs on my '97 SS a couple years ago.

You said you aren't running cats, why would you keep the rear o2 sensors? Tune them out or buy o2 sims. As Joe said, the rear o2's use square 4-pin connectors. Fronts use flat 4-pin connectors.

As far as purchasing o2 simms, look at our site sponsors. Here's a link for what you're looking for. You'll need 2. Speed Inc - Pure Power

Personally, I'd use that money and spend a little more on a mail order tune and have the rear o2's tuned out.

Here's a couple threads on my setup:

Do that. I had mine tuned out. Header swap is not too bad. I did it on my 96 and a buddy's 94. Undo the motor mounts and jack up the motor as needed. I think I did both from the bottom...its been 9 years so I don't remember exactly what I did.

O2 simms are for deleting the rear O2s. The front O2s are required for fuel trim from the PCM so they need to be functional.
